I was unsure about getting these, but I have been impressed. Initial application is moisturizing and gives the lips a soft, understated shine (and it smells good too). Over time, the formula mattifes a bit and leaves a long-lasting dark grey tint.
I've always wanted to wear black lipstick, but the messiness of keeping it neat was always too annoying to me. This is a fantastic compromise that stays in place (and doesn't have the dryness that matte lipstick gives either). My favorite way to wear this is with Nyx's Lip Liner Stain in shade "Tied Up".

The lip color was beautiful. I mean absolutely stunning. That is one star. The rest is down feom there. Formula applied like a crayon. Dry, patchy, and the stick tugged the whole application. Tried with a brush and could not even get enough product onto the brush which made it apply even more patchy. I applied a gloss top and that only made the lip sheer completely see through. I am extremely unhappy about the formula. Especially at that price point. Maybe other colors perform differently. I will not be exploring the line. I cannot even wear the product I bought so why bother taking more risk.

This is honestly the first sheer black lip product I have ever actually liked. It feels like mix between a balm and a lip mud and has a natural sheen that isn't "shiny" and even seems to mattify a bit with wear. It has more even coverage than most other products I've tried and keeps that SHEER look that others seem to struggle with. It doesn't last long, and will wear off from direct contact, but I expected that from a balm.

Wonderful dark earthy brown, gives the perfect undead lip color. However it wear terribly over the day, becoming patchy and needs to be completely wiped off before reapplying or it balls up on the lips. Pairing with a lipgloss is required.
